Welcome to Huntly Community Riding Centre - Terms & Conditions for Facility Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and utilizing the facilities at Huntly Community Riding Centre (HCRC), riders and related parties' consent to adhere to the following Terms & Conditions. This agreement takes effect upon confirmation of the booking and remains in effected throughout the use of the HCRC facilities.

2. Ride at Your Own Risk

All riders recognize that engaging in equestrian activities carries risks, which may include injuries or accidents affecting themselves, their horses, and others. HCRC accepts no liability for accidents, injuries, losses, or damages incurred while using the facilities.

3. Rules & Conduct

Riders must adhere to the following rules while on HCRC premises:

  • Upon arrival, the Health & Safety board at the Clubrooms must be reviewed.

  • Keep out of the restricted areas

  • All riders who are under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult who is over 18.

  • No dogs unless written permission

  • Certified Helmets must be worn when riding

  • Boots with heals must be worn when riding

  • Back protectors must be worn when riding in the XC paddock

  • Companion horses are to stay in the pens and be kept away from the riding areas.

  • No nervous or anxious horses to be left in the pens

  • No horses to be left at the facilities unattended

  • Hay & horse manure to be picked up from arena, in pens & around horse float/truck

  • Equipment to be put away after use

  • Report any incident, injury, or hazard immediately to the facilities manager

  • Report any breakages, damages & water leaks immediately to the facilities manager

  • Keep gates closed at all times

  • When last one leaving, make sure the electric fence is activated, and the perimeter gate is locked.

4. Liability Waiver

By using the HCRC facilities, riders waive any claim they may have against HCRC volunteers or representatives for any accident, injury, damage, or loss suffered during or as a result of using the facilities. This waiver extends to damage to personal property, vehicles, horses, equipment and 3rd party incidents.

5. Responsibility for Damages

Riders are accountable for any damage inflicted on HCRC property, facilities, equipment or damages involving 3rd parties. Riders consent to cover the expenses for repairs or replacements that arise from these damages.

For any accidents, incidents, breakages, damages, water issues, or anything else that requires reporting, please send a text to the facilities manager and complete an Incident Report in the Forms section.
